View the seminar options below:

Anda Neiconi

The Holiness of God and the Human response

Am I wasting time on earth if I take time to study for my Man's food test, floss, and cook?  What does holiness actually mean and why does God appear so wrathful in the Old Testament? Why does God want me, as a woman, to be holy in body and spirit? What's up with holy kissing? and other questions discussed in this bible study with a focus on Exodus chapters 3 to 28. (for women only) Location: Little Hall 113

Matthew Kent

God the Generous Giver

Someone once said that love gives and receives. We learn from the scriptures that it's God who gives most. Come learn what the implications of these things are for your life and your relationship with your Lord and the rest of His creation. My goal is to revolutionize the way you worship God for the rest of your life. Location: Little Hall 221

Michael Hasebroock and others

God’s Missional Heart

Have you ever tried to comprehend how big & awesome God's love is? This seminar addresses just that! We'll learn together from our panel of students, staff, and professionals about how much God loves the world. Location: Little Hall 125

Matt Gordon

The Lord God Most High (Jehovah-Elyon)

In his encounter with Abraham, King Melchizedek of Salam emphasizes that God owns all things and delivers them into the hands of His people.  Learn what Jehovah-Elyon wants us to claim about Him and us His children today. Location: Carleton Auditorium

Corey Matthews

“Playing the Harlot,” A God of Jealousy and Wrath

Exodus 20 says, "I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me."  That doesn't sound good...but neither does "playing the harlot."  Let's discuss what these things reveal about the character of God and His relationship with humankind. (for women only) Location: Little Hall 121

Matt Sherman

A Just God

“Everybody knows” God judges the wicked at the end. Does God judge Christians? What kind of rewards and punishments do Christians face in the hereafter, and what does the Bible teach about Christian reward and punishment now, today? Location: Little Hall 101

Bryan Behl

God as Healer

God cannot be all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-loving and still allow all the pain and suffering we see in the world, right? While this seminar will not tackle every aspect of the problem of evil, it will look at the great lengths God has, does, and will go to in order to bring healing physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually to this broken world. Location: Little Hall 223
